Representatives of the LEPL Agency of Nuclear and Radiation Safety participated in a large-scale international medical conference, the "GIELRSA III International Annual Meeting," held in Batumi. The event was attended by leading Georgian and foreign specialists in the fields of radiology, surgery, and oncology.
"Radiation safety is not merely a legal requirement—it is a fundamental right of every patient and our collective professional responsibility. Only through cooperation, mutual respect, and full compliance with regulatory requirements can we establish an environment where every individual receives medical services that are not only high in quality but also safe," stated Nino Utiashvili, Head of the LEPL Agency of Nuclear and Radiation Safety.
Within the framework of the meeting, a presentation was delivered by Nino Esvanjia, Head of the Authorization Department and a medical physicist at the Agency, who highlighted the critical importance of high standards in radiation safety.
The participation of the Agency's representatives in the conference fosters experience-sharing within the medical community, strengthens collaboration among professionals from various fields, and promotes the implementation of best practices.
