Head of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency Participates in an IAEA International Meeting
The Thirteenth Meeting of the Representatives of Competent Authorities Identified under the Convention on Early Notification of a Nuclear Accident is being held in Vienna, Austria, organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The Head of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency, Nino Utiashvili, is participating in the meeting.
The event brings together representatives from 114 Member States and six international organizations.
Participants are discussing mechanisms for international cooperation, procedures for the timely exchange of information, and effective methods of communication with the public.
During her address, Nino Utiashvili presented the achievements Georgia has made in this field, as well as the modern approaches and best practices that have been introduced. She also spoke about the support that Georgia has received from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The meeting serves as an important platform for sharing experience among states and for further strengthening international cooperation in the field of nuclear and radiation safety.
